buy discounted cytotec online -43ºC (same in Fahrenheit) can you believe it! We are heading out for a small winter get away not white sand but lots of white snow! Pretty cold drive but roads were in relative good winter driving conditions. We took our time with no problems and reached Calgary around 2:15. Too early for hotel check in so of course we head to a mall so Gerda can snoop and shop.
cytotec online without prescription Around 4.00 we head to our hotel which is in the Kensington area but boy did we have trouble finding it! It is a private hotel (where the owners live – like a privte home) and we were looking for a “real” hotel so drove by it a couple of times. It was very beautiful and the wood work was stunning. The owner told us it took him a year to do just the wood work. It felt a bit strange as they wanted to do everything for us coffee, tea, fresh banana bread or some home made soup.
Around 6:30 we met up with Brian’s sisters whom we haven’t seen together for 4-5 years. Nice visit. Many laughs later we retired to the “hotel” and had a great sleep.
Next morning we were on our way reasoably early, stopping at a special cafe. Always have to stop at Vendome Cafe for some of the best coffee and food around.
When we got to Calgary there was an advisory that the highway to our final destination, Emerald Lake Lodge, was blocked by an avalanche. This gave us some concern, however when we hit the highway, reports indicated all was cleared, but to watch for icy patches. Well with a 20 degree swing in the weather it was sluchy, icy and blowing snow – very treacherous! Multiple vehicles in the ditch. Just inside Banff National Park a semi with flat bed had jack-knifed.
The drive, just 10 km ouside the town of Banff, got worse when we passed a group of vehicles and almost ran into a convoy of snowplows. Major shock – almost a white out from the snow they were throwing up. After 10km they pulled over for us to pass and it was smooth sailing until we passed Lake Louise heading into BC where the divided highway ended. This time it was a convoy of semis driving at 40km as they negotiated the steep incline into Field, BC. A drive that normally takes 10 minutes extended to over 30 minutes.
The rest of the drive into Emerald Lake was a piece of cake!
Lots of snow, but so peaceful ….. always glad when we get there. Winter paradise!
